Have you ever stopped to think of all the wonderful ways you use water and the great benefits it has for your body, mind, and health in general? In any typical day, you drink water, take a shower or bath, wash your hands (many, many times throughout your day… it’s an effective disease prevention method), do the laundry, clean the house, water the plants, cook, enjoy the pool or beach, and delight in a refreshing rainfall or a majestic waterfall—-love Niagara Falls!!
Water is essential to our bodies and helps to:
- hydrate
- control calories
- energize muscles
- keep skin looking good
- keep kidneys healthy
- maintain normal bowel function
- detoxify the body
- disease prevention
- prevent cramps
- save money
It’s bliss for our senses…each day we can see water in nature, hear the sound of a water fountain, taste water or the delicious foods prepared with water, smell the rain, and feel the invigorating effects of the precious liquid on our skin.
Make water the stellar performer in your life!! Add more water into each day: drink more glasses of water (don’t forget to keep water in your work area), eat more fruits and vegetables (their high water content will add to your hydration. About 20% of our fluid intake comes from foods), relax at the beach, give your doggie a bath and drink from the living water. “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38. Incorporate this revitalizing fluid into your healthy collage.
How does your day start? Mine starts with prayer of gratitude, listening to Gods word, drinking a glass of water (I add lemon sometimes), and it goes on and on. Build your refreshing day with what works best for you, remember to add more water to your life…
