Preparing granola at home is something simple and special. It is a lovely activity to enjoy, and it costs less than buying it at the store. I love knowing exactly what ingredients it contains, without unnecessary additives. I enjoy making it for my home and sharing it with others as a gift. I also like taking this quiet time while preparing the granola to pray and give thanks. The Bible reminds us to pray without ceasing, and the kitchen can be a wonderful place to pray. Let us take time every moment, even in the kitchen, to be intentional about lifting our hearts in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
As I mix these simple ingredients, I thank You for the abundance You provide. For every harvest, every seed, every time spent preparing this granola, I am grateful.
As the warmth of maple syrup and coconut oil come together, may Your love bind us together just as gently and sweetly. Let the cinnamon remind me of the warmth of home and the comfort You give each day.
As this granola bakes, fill this kitchen with peace. Let this home be a place of nourishment, not only for our bodies, but for our hearts and spirits.
When I add the raisins and cranberries, I thank You for the sweetness in life, the small touches that make ordinary moments special.
Lord, I lift up those who will receive this gift. Bless their homes with peace, their tables with provision, and their hearts with joy. May every bite remind them that they are thought of, cared for, and deeply loved.
Bless this food and bless the hands that will enjoy it
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
